Life on the Farm -horses, dogs, cats, oh my!

For those who know me, you know that besides horses, I share my home presently with two Irish Wolfhounds, Molly & Morgan, and one rescued Greyhound, Zephyr. Also in the mix is the one & only Mr. Kat aka Salem. At this point it only seems appropriate to mention those who so loyally went before and are with us only in spirit -Cass, my very first  Wolfie who educated me on the breed itself and stayed by side to the final moment that she drew her last breath. Lily Monster who never met a stranger and would bury her head deep against you to let you know she loved you even though she may have only just met you. She was like Nana Dog out of Peter Pan. And then Colt, my first rescued Greyhound that passed most recently because at 14, his old heart finally gave out. He literally understood more of what you said than any dog I have ever known. He never complained as he helped raise all the wolfhounds. If they would not listen to me, he made sure they listened to him even if it meant getting off the sofa & going over and giving them a good talking to. Read the rest of this entry »
