Life Skill Coach/Why Giving is Easier Than Receiving

It is the season known as the time for giving. For putting aside differences with friends, colleagues and yes, family. It is a busy time of year with extra shopping and activities, that stretch us often to our limits. We create big lists of who we are doing what for and go about doing it all.

The other day someone asked what I wanted for this holiday and I responded my usual” there is nothing I need.” But if that was true, why did I have this nagging sense of loss tugging at me? Why was I feeling a sense of incompleteness? Read the rest of this entry »


Grieving For the Life We Want and Do Not Have

I was talking with a client today. I have known her for a long time and no matter how many years pass and different events occur the message remains the same. “My life is not that great because”……and, it is always the fault of someone else or a circumstance that is to blame.
